• Restoring the balance between the rights of crime victims and criminals
• Supporting continued efforts to provide critical medical, counseling and financial assistance to victims of violent crime
• Maintaining and strengthening “Megan’s Law” to ensure parents have the ability to protect their children from sexual predators who live in their neighborhoods
• Defending “Three Strikes” against those who would weaken it
• Making sure that victims voices are heard by guaranteeing victims are active participants in the judicial and parole processes
• Supporting laws to allow women and children to safely leave a violent environment and assuring their safety after they leave
• Promoting laws to protect our elderly citizens from physical and financial abuse
• Preventing sex offenders from working/living close to schools and parks as provided under “Jessica’s Law”
• Promoting and expanding education and preventative programs for juveniles and programs that help young people leave gangs
• Strengthening the parole system to ensure parolees who are a threat to public safety are adequately monitored
• Protecting California’s death penalty for the most heinous offenders and working to remove the de-facto moratorium
• Supporting laws to crack down on stalking, identify theft and human trafficking
