2026 Crime Victims United
Reception
On May 6, 2026, Crime Victims United hosted its annual reception at The Firehouse Restaurant in Sacramento, California. The event brought together victims’rights advocates, legislators, law enforcement leaders, and community members for an evening dedicated to honoring those advancing public safety and victim advocacy throughout California.
The evening featured recognition of several outstanding leaders and organizations for their contributions to victims’ rights and public safety initiatives, including a special tribute to the 48 Hours production team for their commitment to victim-centered storytelling, as well as a tribute honoring the life and legacy of the late Congressman Doug LaMalfa. Attendees also had the opportunity to connect with advocates and policymakers, reflect on the progress made over the past year, and discuss ongoing efforts to support crime victims throughout California.
