Introducing the California Survivor Action Network (CSAN)

What to Expect

Welcome to the CSAN—a nonpartisan statewide community built for those who have endured the unimaginable and those committed to creating more resilient communities.

This network exists to connect victims, survivors, advocates, and community leaders from every corner of California. Together, we connect people from every walk of life to create a supportive space to share experiences, exchange ideas, build relationships, and work toward meaningful solutions that strengthen our communities.

Whether you're looking to stay informed, receive legislative alerts, share your story, attend trainings, participate in advocacy, or simply connect with others who understand your journey, there is a place for you here.

Our mission is simple: to empower one another with knowledge, opportunity, and a collective voice. By working together, we can elevate survivors’ lived experiences, educate our communities, and help shape public policy through thoughtful civic engagement.

We also recognize those who came before us. The victims' rights movement of the 1980s transformed California by ensuring survivors had a voice in the justice system. Today, we have an opportunity unlike any generation before us. Through social media, online advocacy, smartphones, digital storytelling, and instant statewide communication, we can connect, organize, educate, and mobilize in ways that were once unimaginable. Our responsibility is to honor that legacy by using these modern tools to build an even stronger movement—one that empowers survivors, elevates community voices, strengthens civic engagement, and creates lasting change for generations to come.

Thank you for sharing your story by filling out the form below to join the California Survivor Action Network.

Together, we are building a stronger movement, stronger communities, and a better California. We can't wait to see what we can build together.

❋ A Supportive Space
  • "Every movement begins when someone decides to get involved. Today, that someone is you. Now go build something that lasts."

    Crime Victims United

  • History is not changed by people who wait for the perfect moment. It is changed by ordinary people who decide that enough is enough—and have the courage to do something about it. We have found time and time again nothing moves unless it is pushed. If not us...then who?

    Crime Victims United

  • Movements don't happen by accident. They are built. One conversation. One meeting. One relationship. One act of courage at a time.
