Fighting to keep Nicole Sinkule's Killer in Prison
Justice for Nicole Sinkule: Help Us Oppose Parole for Her Killer
At Crime Victims United, we stand with victims and their families in the ongoing pursuit of justice. Today, we ask for your support in honoring the life of Nicole Sinkule, a kind, driven, and loving 25-year-old whose life was cut tragically short on October 16, 2005.
Nicole was deeply loved by her family and friends. She had goals, dreams, and a future full of promise. Her death brought unimaginable pain to those who knew her—and that pain continues as her loved ones are forced to confront repeated parole hearings for the person responsible for her loss.
Eric Nathaniel Marum (CDCR #F61434), the man convicted of taking Nicole’s life, is once again eligible for parole.
Each parole hearing reopens wounds that time cannot fully heal. Nicole’s family must relive the trauma, advocate for justice, and fight to ensure that her memory is not diminished by the release of the person responsible for her death.
We are asking for your help.
Why Your Voice Matters
Nicole’s death was a devastating and permanent loss. Allowing parole for her killer would undermine the severity of the crime and the pain her loved ones continue to endure. Justice requires consistency, accountability, and recognition of the life that was taken.
By opposing parole, we affirm that Nicole’s life mattered—and still matters.
How You Can Help
Please join Crime Victims United and Nicole’s family in submitting a parole opposition letter to the California Board of Parole Hearings.
