Crime Victims United Endorses Senator Tony Strickland for Re-Election

Crime Victims United is proud to endorse Senator Tony Strickland for re-election to the California State Senate representing District 36. Throughout his time in office, Senator Strickland has demonstrated a strong commitment to public safety, victims’ rights, and restoring accountability within California’s criminal justice system.

As California communities continue to face the impacts of repeat theft, drug-related crime, and policies that have weakened consequences for offenders, Senator Strickland has remained a consistent advocate for practical, commonsense reforms focused on protecting families and reducing victimization. His support for the full implementation of Proposition 36 reflects his belief that accountability and supervised treatment must work together to improve public safety outcomes across the state.

Senator Strickland also introduced Senate Bill 926 to help secure funding necessary for the successful implementation of Proposition 36, reinforcing his commitment to ensuring the will of California voters is fully carried out. In addition, he has opposed legislation that would undermine law enforcement officers and has supported efforts to equip police and prosecutors with the tools needed to hold repeat offenders accountable.

His continued leadership on public safety issues and dedication to protecting victims have earned the support and endorsement of Crime Victims United for the 2026 election.
